This Privacy Policy applies to the LinkedIn Job Scraper Chrome extension. The extension is used to read job listing details from LinkedIn Jobs pages and download a local JSON export requested by the user.
Information the extension handles
The extension handles Website content from LinkedIn Jobs pages, including job titles, company names, locations, salary information, posting dates, apply links, job descriptions, and related company information shown on the page.
The extension also stores limited operational data in
chrome.storage.local for failed download recovery logs and
similar extension-local state.
How the information is used
The extension uses this information only to run the user-requested export workflow and download a local JSON export of the scraped job listings to the user's device.
Data sharing and sale
We do not sell, transfer, or share scraped job content with the developer or third parties. The extension does not send scraped job data to remote servers.
Data retention
Exported job data is saved locally by the user through Chrome's download flow. Failed download recovery logs stored in extension storage remain on the user's device until removed by the user or cleared by the extension.
Permissions used
- downloads: saves the user's export file locally.
- host permissions: accesses supported LinkedIn Jobs pages.
- scripting: injects the scraper controls into the active LinkedIn Jobs tab.
- storage: stores limited extension-local operational state.
- tabs: identifies the active tab and opens the supported jobs page when requested by the user.
Remote code
The extension does not load or execute remotely hosted code. All executable code is packaged with the extension.
